Procrastination and a lack of clear goals are an absolute productivity killer for the vast majority of people. According to one Harvard study, 80% of people believe that they are not accomplishing enough. I’ve spent more than the first 20 years of my life accomplishing so much less than I could have. And it wasn’t until I started making only a few changes to my thought processes that led to a drastic difference and improvement in my life. So today I will give you 3 scientifically proven tips to maximise your day.
So today I want to provide you with 3 scientifically proven tips to maximise your day that I have implemented into my life that have helped make drastic improvements to my productivity and overall success in my day to day life. These 3 things have not only worked for me. In fact, everything on this list have been PROVEN to increase productivity.

Number 1) Write a list of daily goals!
I have recently started doing this and I absolutely regret not doing it sooner! Seriously, I have only done this for a short period of time but it has been life changing. I have recently been accomplishing more in a single DAY than I have been in about 3 days thanks to this little ritual.
So what I do is write a list every night of all of the things that I want to accomplish the next day. I keep a personal diary for this. And the next day I tick off each item once it is completed. I make sure that I do not go to bed until the entire list is done. And at the end of the day, I look at my completed list and feel a huge sense of accomplishment!
Studies have actually shown that only 3% of people write a list of goals for each day, and these studies have concluded that there is a very strong correlation between goals accomplished and having the goals written down. This is believed to be due to the neural pathways that are formed through the process of thinking and writing down these goals. Science actually backs this ritual!

Number 2) Morning Exercise!
Exercise has been proven to cause your heart to race and send your brain into a flight or fight response mode. As a defence to this proposed threat, the brain produces two chemicals. These are BDNF and Endorphins. BDNF (Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor) works to improve and repair your memory neurons and acts as a reset switch. This helps to clear your mind and make positive decisions. Endorphins act as source or pleasure and eventually allow your body to go into more of a relaxation mode at a later time. Both BDNF and Endorphins are the reasons why you feel so good after a workout.
Now when we feel good, we find it so much easier to be productive, right? So by exercising in the morning, you will set both your mind and your body into “productivity mode”! Seriously, exercising in the morning has made an incredibly positive impact on my life and my productivity has gone through the roof since I started doing it!
Number 3) Allocate Specific Hours of the Day to Productivity
Having a set time slot of when you MUST be productive is HUGELY beneficial. As people, we are creatures of habit. What I mean is that by creating the habit of allocating a time slot to productivity every day, we soon begin to learn to use this time wisely. For example, I have recently started ensuring that I complete a decent chunk of my daily goals between the hours of 2 pm and 5 pm. At first it seemed a little unnecessary. But what I found after just a couple of days was that I started to use these hours super wisely! I began to work like a slave during these hours. It is like my brain adjusted to consider these hours of the day to be my most important. And my subconscious mind just ensured that I made the
most of this time!
Now obviously this productivity list could be almost endless! But I purposely only provided you with these three daily rituals because I have these were the 3 single things that have had the greatest impact on me becoming a much more productive and successful person in multiple facets of my life.
